In collaboration with Gerd Dönhuber (german national team pilot), the SKYLINE HG harnesses Zero Drag FR and Zero Drag SPEED have been reworked and refinements have been made in a few areas. The new features are being incorporated now in series production.
The back plate was shortened in the front section. The main benefit of this is to allow greater upwards freedom of movement for the shoulders, making it easier to straighten up and re-position and providing better visibility when thermalling. In addition, this change to the back plate improves the aerodynamic form in the shoulder region.
• The side pockets were replaced by 2 front pockets with large internal pouches, making it easier and more comfortable to reach them during flight.
• A 3D fabric / mesh is used for the entire front section, which ensures better air circulation.
• Adjustable padding is used in the torso area, allowing the amount of torso support to be altered and reducing shoulder pressure.
• The knee section also has mesh and is double-padded. It no longer has the knee padding used previously, which gives a larger opening to the foot section to make it easier to get into after launch.
• The cut of the shoulder neoprene was optimised for better aerodynamics and warmer shoulders/upper body!
• The distance between the tow loops was reduced and optimised according to the mounting for the tow release.
• The front zip was lengthened and fitted with a tension relief closure, which makes it easier to close the zip and makes it last longer.
• The foot section is fitted with genuine leather protection.
• The hang point for the leg loops can be set in various positions according to the pilot's build.
Zero Drag SPEED
As with the ZD FR, the key features of the Zero Drag SPEED are based on the Zero Drag Racer, which has proven itself over many years and had ongoing refinements. The SPEED is fitted with 2 reserve containers. The cut of the harness has been optimised and adjusted for the integrated reserve containers (left and right). The Zero Drag SPEED thus has a wider cut optimally adapted to the tapered shape and also offers more storage space.
The wider cut allows better coverage for the arms and upper body with the "bat wings" (neoprene arm covers), which are serial at the SPEED.
A "hump" behind the helmet (option) is designed to improve the aerodynamic features of the harness.
Options (surcharge)
•"hump" behind the helmet for better aerodynamic shape
•Leg loops with adjustable buckles
•adjustable Y-Leg Loops
•Extensionplate (this plate automatically extends the back supporting main plate) The extension is connected with the Slider .
•Direct Hangloop (being built on customer demands)
•Slider Lock (fixes slider on the back position; the slider lock will be released automatically, if putting load out of the footpart when taking legs out of the harness)
•GFK Hard Box (hard box at the footpart to have more storage room
Options (without surcharge):
•Hardbox with EPS perls
•Zipper extension
